Hannah (gently) persuaded Kathy to join Alpha Gamma Delta; and, Kathy coerced Hannah into traveling to Tianjin, China. This was only the beginning of Kathy and Hannah’s exploits to Tianjin, Zhuhai, and Guangzhou, China. Kathy supported Hannah when she became a Chinese Language and Culture teacher in the US, and Hannah supported Kathy joining the field of Intl Ed and International Student Advisement. Kathy heavily assisted in the planning and execution of Hannah’s wedding. It is now her pleasure be there for her and Hunter as they make this commitment to one another.

Veronica Malinn-Kovach

Matron of Honor

Rank: Matron of Honor Strength: 7/10 Stamina: 9/10 Loaf Level: Sourdough Slayer Abilities: Saving lives and IV queen Veronica and Kathy met freshman year at Miami University and were roommates for two years. Over the course of their friendship, they have supported one another in their endeavors. Veronica attended many Alpha Gamma Delta events and Kathy was a regular at Locura Nights in support of the American and Latin American Students’ (ALAS) association. Veronica visited Hannah and Kathy in China in 2015 when they were teaching in Zhuhai, and Kathy has been out to Boston several times in the last decade. While Veronica now lives and works in Boston, she and Kathy have never lost touch. Kathy stood by Veronica during her own wedding in October of 2022 and now 3 years later, Veronica is honored to do the same as Kathy and Hunter tie the knot!

They became roommates in 2012 where a natural friendship blossomed. Little did they know, curious reader, it would lead to a 14 year friendship with a lifetime of memories built together. AND since you're so interested in all of the details…I'll give them to you- gladly but also condensed because website. After graduation in 2014, Kathy moved to the Cincinnati area to pursue teaching while Anne returned to Dayton to study ASL. Both made an effort to stay in each other's lives, even when Kathy’s work took her overseas to China. Anne teamed up with Hannah and Veronica to bring the crew back together for an epic adventure abroad. Through thick and thin (pizza crusts) Anne and Kathy have always made time for each other, especially for big milestones. Kathy stood by Anne for her wedding in 2018 as a bridesmaid, and now Anne has the astute honor and privilege to return the favor. She is absolutely ecstatic to support her best friend. Kathy and I first met during preference round at sorority recruitment at Miami University, and from the very first conversation, I knew it was something special—a connection that would last a lifetime. It all started with a hilarious commercial featuring a miniature giraffe. I can’t even remember exactly what we said, but we were laughing so hard and vibing so instantly that it felt like magic. That moment set the tone for a friendship that has carried us through the wildest ups and downs of life—the sheer joy, the ridiculous realities, and the toughest low points. I’ll always be grateful for this amazing woman and the unshakable bond we share.

They became friends over many years of hanging out in the same places. They shared a love of baking and crafting. Once Courtney moved back to the Cincinnati-Dayton area, Kathy and Courtney reunited. They bonded yet again with Anne over potlucks of delicious food and laughter. Courtney was fortunate enough to watch Kathy and Hunter’s relationship blossom and grow. She is thrilled to be apart of their wedding and celebrate their love.

Since then, they've grown closer and bonded over hot pot, travelling, and a love of food and hospitality. Daniel has officiated weddings since 2020 and is honored to join his friends in matrimony.
