This is our favorite restaurant in Decatur (don’t tell the others). We love the atmosphere coupled with truly amazing Italian fare. Don’t be afraid to walk in to try to sit at the bar, but we do recommend a reservation for larger parties.

Our favorite restaurant for special occasions! We are so proud of our local Decatur restaurant winning 2023 BEST CHEF SOUTHEAST- James Beard Foundation Award Winner as well as being listed on the Michelin Guide for 2023! Check it out for dinner or a cocktail while you’re in town!
B-Side
Next door to the Deer and the Dove is their sister bagel joint. We love walking to the square on the weekends to get our morning coffee and bagel sandwich here!
Butter & Cream
Anyone that knows Hendrick, knows she is a dessert fiend, so this is probably our most visited shop in Decatur. This local ice creamery started right here in Decatur, makes every ice cream homemade and has seasonal flavors that change every week. Hunter’s favorite is the Honeycomb Forest and Hendrick’s is the OG Goodness. Try it out and let us know your favorite flavor!
The Marlay House - Irish Pub
Our local Irish pub in Decatur will be in full swing for St. Patrick’s Day! This restaurant has the most beautiful traditional Irish bar inside - check it out and we promise you won’t be disappointed! Last year they had Irish dancers and a live band to celebrate St. Patty’s Day!
LEON's Full Service
Located in an old full service gas station, Leon’s is a local Decatur favorite. Try the bucket of fries with all 8 of their signature sauces!
Taqueria del Sol
With a great patio and great margaritas, Taqueria del Sol is a local Decatur favorite. Don’t be surprised if the line is out the door and around the corner, this is typical and it moves fast! Their enchiladas are amazing!
Chai Pani Decatur
Fun Fact: Hunter had never had Indian food until Hendrick took him to Chai Pani. Now it is both of ours favorite restaurant! We recommend sitting on their fun and colorful patio!
