Erica and Hunter’s story began in 2019, when the two first met on a dating app. They dated briefly for a few months before going their separate ways, just as the world was shutting down during COVID. Like many stories during that time, theirs seemed to pause, not knowing it was far from over. In 2021, fate brought them back together. The two ran into each other at a local bar, Lynch’s Irish Pub, in Jacksonville Beach one evening, and what started as a simple offer from Hunter to drive Erica home turned into something much more meaningful. They stayed up until 6 a.m., talking, laughing, and reconnecting after time apart. The next morning, Erica woke up to find flowers and a handwritten letter on her doorstep, along with a request from Hunter to take her on a “proper date.” Although Erica wasn’t looking for anything serious at the time, she eventually agreed. Over the following months, their relationship grew slowly, mostly as friends. Then, in October 2021, Hunter planned a trip to Tennessee. Over the course of four days, they explored four different cities together. On the final day, while in Gatlinburg, Hunter asked Erica to be his girlfriend. She said no. But luckily, Hunter didn’t give up. A couple of months later, in December 2021, he planned a helicopter date and told Erica that he loved her. Though she wasn’t ready to say it back in that moment, everything changed on New Year’s Eve later that year, when Erica finally told Hunter she loved him too. From there, their relationship fell naturally into place. By the end of 2022, Erica had moved in with Hunter, and together they continued building a strong foundation. This is also when the two became dog parents the cutest pup, Louie. In 2024, when Hunter was presented with a job opportunity in Savannah, Erica took a leap of faith and moved with him, beginning a new chapter together. Exactly one year after becoming Savannah locals, Hunter planned a special date night to celebrate. That same evening, he proposed. Erica and Hunter’s journey is a testament to timing, patience, and persistence.
