Our story technically began in high school, thanks to our mutual best friend, Brian. Hunter insists this meeting doesn’t count because he “doesn’t remember it.” Clare remembers it very clearly and fully believes it was fate working early. Years later, we crossed paths again when Brian came to visit Clare in Idaho and FaceTimed Hunter. That quick call turned into an unexpected reconnection and the start of something neither of us saw coming. What began as a casual “summer fling” turned into so much more. While home from college for the summer we decided to give dating a try, fully intending to go our separate ways once summer ended. Instead, we decided not to break up, and we’ve been choosing each other ever since. Since then, our lives have grown in the best ways. We added our dog Boone to the family, took on long-distance, and Clare somehow convinced Hunter to leave California and move to Idaho. Through every adventure, move, and change, we’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and plenty of good memories. Hunter proposed at our favorite fishing spot, a place that already held so many special moments, making it the easiest “yes” Clare has ever said. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who mean the most to us and can’t wait to start forever together.
