Hunter and I started LPN school together. I found him attractive right away but he thought I was too prissy and stuck up. He got lost going to clinical one day and I finally spoke to him and asked him if he needed me to get him a map. He was so mad at me but after a little while he asked me for my number and we began texting and going on dates. Who knew I had found my bestfriend and love of my life. Now I get to marry this amazing man of mine!
Originally we had a trip scheduled to Asheville North Carolina in March to celebrate Hunter’s birthday. Due to the lovely COVID-19 everything closed down the same weekend we were supposed to go. Since we have been stuck in the house and working and going to school during this pandemic we finally decided to reschedule our trip. We booked our trip and I thought nothing of it but the fact that I was just so excited we were going to get out of town. The day of our engagement, we went to the Biltmore. We first went on a carriage ride and got to see the back of the Biltmore house. . After we took a trolley to the Biltmore house and had our tour inside. When going through security They had to search py purse. Hunter asked me do you think they’ll make me take everything out of my pockets. I did not think anything of it and told him not to worry about it. I went through security first and he went after me and later told me that he told the security guard he had the ring in his pocket so he was not going to take it out and ruin the surprise. After the house we went to the gift shop. There was a collection from Downton Abbey which Hunter knew I loved the show, so he told me to pick some thing out. I picked out the ring carriage that he proposed with. After we grabbed a drink and went to the gardens. We took some pictures and then he suggested we sit down on a bench in the flowers. We sat down he told me how much he loved me and said he had something to show me. He picked up the box that had the little carriage in it. I laughed and said I know you bought that why are you showing me. He took the carriage out of the box got down on one knee and opened it. I immediately began to cry being so happy realizing that the moment I have waited for was finally here and that the man that I love I finally get to call my fiancé and soon my husband. It was perfect, we were on a bench in the middle of the gardens just the two of us. It was such a special moment that I will cherish forever.
