We’re so thrilled to have you join us as we celebrate our wedding in one of our favorite places, New Hampshire’s beautiful White Mountains! Our venue, The Rocks Estate, is a historic property with deep roots. Originally established in the late 1800s as a summer estate for the Glessner family of Chicago, the estate features stunning stone architecture, sweeping mountain views, and rich cultural history. Frances Glessner Lee, the Glessners’ daughter, spent time here and later became known as the “mother of forensic science” for her groundbreaking work in crime scene investigation. Today, The Rocks is owned and protected by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests. The estate is home to year-round walking trails, a working Christmas tree farm, and a maple sugaring experience. In 2019, a fire tragically destroyed two of the historic buildings. In response, the Forest Society rebuilt with sustainability in mind. The newly constructed Carriage Barn, where our celebration will take place, was designed as a net-zero energy building, powered by geothermal and other renewable systems. It’s a beautiful blend of old and new, reflecting the resilience and forward-thinking spirit of the land and the people who care for it. All proceeds from weddings and events go directly to supporting the Forest Society’s conservation mission. It means so much to us to celebrate in a place that not only holds beauty and history, but also helps preserve the natural landscape we love. We can't wait to celebrate with you in this stunning, meaningful place!
