1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Cocktail Attire - A few people have asked about hats and attire. You are more than welcome to wear a hat or fascinator, but you absolutely do not need to! It won’t be the norm quite like it is on Derby weekend, but if you want to lean into the spirit of the track, please feel free.
All Churchill Downs tickets will be supplied by a greeter upon arrival to the track. Transportation: Buses will pick up from the Hotel Distil and Omni at 12:15 PM to take everyone to Churchill Downs. At the end of the day, buses will depart the track at 3:45 PM and return to the Distil and Omni. If you are planning to uber, please note the LOUDER THAN LIFE Music Festival taking place in Louisville this weekend, you might want to call a ride a bit earlier than your planned departure time given potential wait times!
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Casual Attire - For attire, feel free to change into something casual after the track and pop by whenever works best for you!
Welcome Drinks will be light bites and drinks only, so we recommend making a dinner reservation for before or after. It will be a busy weekend downtown, so booking something in advance is a good idea! The Louisville Thoroughbred Society is within walking distance of both the Hotel Distil and Omni Louisville, and just a quick walk or Uber to NuLu, where there are plenty of great dinner options. Hunter and I have added a list of some of our favorite restaurants and recommendations to our wedding website. And of course, please feel free to text either of us if you need any additional recommendations.
5:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Black-Tie Optional - The ceremony will take place on grass, so please keep that in mind when choosing shoes!
Transportation: Guest transportation will pick up from the Hotel Distil and Omni at 4:30 PM to take everyone to the wedding. Transportation will also be available at the end of the night to get guests back downtown to the hotels or the after party at O'Shea's. Anyone driving can park at Knights of Colmbus 4417 River Rd, Louisville, KY 40222 and a shuttle will take them to 4508 River Road!
