Our Story

March 2020

Hunter and Amy's story began at a wedding, and we should expect nothing less from two romantics who had been hoping and praying for love for so long. Hunter was the Best Man and Amy was a close friend of the Bride. After locking eyes and briefly meeting the night before the wedding, Hunter vowed to ask Amy to dance. The day of the wedding, Hunter and Amy looked for each other constantly, but it wasn't until the reception they were finally together again. There were some parents unnecessarily and prematurely involved (Hunter's dad drew the pair together on the dance floor and Amy's mom offered them a shot of tequila) but despite the crazy happenings, Amy and Hunter were able to dance to a few songs before they went outside to spend the rest of the evening in conversation. As the night ended, Amy left for spring break and then headed back to college in Spokane, but the pair exchanged numbers, both wondering if there was any possible future with each other. As the world was thrust into chaos with the pandemic, Hunter and Amy were at peace happily continuing their conversations. Texting turned into phone calls which turned into FaceTime's which turned into Amy flying to California during Final's Week to spend a week with Hunter for the first time since the wedding. After an amazing week together, Amy had to return to Spokane but they both knew it would not be the last time they were together. After graduating, Amy spent the summer with Hunter and his family where their relationship grew stronger and stronger. When she moved back home to Michigan, the couple continued their long-distance relationship - constantly flying back and forth to spend as much time together as possible. After nearly a year and a half of their long-distance dating, Hunter and his family moved to Texas, and shortly after Amy decided to join them as the couple discerned the next step together. It wasn't long after that Hunter proposed to Amy at the foot of the altar in the church they would be married at. Both their parents were able to watch as Hunter recounted their beautiful story and asked Amy to marry him. Surely, this relationship and this wedding was arranged by the Lord. Years before they knew the other's name, Hunter and Amy were praying for each other. The Lord blessed them both with a love beyond their wildest hopes and dreams.
