We met through Upward in May 2022 and after a few months of texts and video calls we had our first date in October 2022 and never parted ways since then. The distance, difference of culture and language was never a barrier in our relationship but rather characteristics that complement each other. Our biggest and most important shared value is our faith in God, who we know for sure brought us together and granted us the blessing of soon becoming one in His presence.

Hunter planned with the help of my aunt to propose to me on August 19, 2023. He made sure important people for both of us were present to witness this special moment to us, he brought his family, my closest friends were invited, and even my grandparents from Brazil were there. The proposal happened during my little cousin's birthday "party" and after we all sang happy birthday to her, Hunter asked for everyone's attention and called me closer, he went down one knee and said "Will you marry me?" to which I responded "YES" barely letting him finish the phrase. Now we are engaged y'all! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in our wedding!
