Hunter & Ali met the modern way: by swiping right from their couches in San Diego. Hunter took the lead and planned a date at a cocktail bar in Ali's new neighborhood at the time, Little Italy. After 3 tequila-based songbirds, they were sold on a second date. Fun fact: The couple next to them on their first date turned to them before leaving and said "You two...I can see it". They met at the golf range/mini golf course for their second date, where Hunter proceeded to show off his not so novice golf skills. Don't worry, Ali won the round of mini golf though and earned herself a seat in the 18th hole suite at the Farmers Insurance Open. And from there, the rest was history...

On the weekend of the first hurricane to hit San Diego since 1939, Hunter decided he was going to pop the question at the infamous Torrey Pines. Really wanting to surprise Ali, he knew the location had to be somewhere that wouldn't cause suspicion. Thanks to a healthy golf addiction and close living proximity to the course, it is a place they frequent often and now has deep sentimental value to both of them. With the help of our close friends, Hunter was able to get Ali to the golf course for post-round dinner and drinks "to celebrate his birthday". When she got to the course, the sun was beginning to set, and there was a golf cart waiting to take her to meet the boys on the course while they finished their round. Ali took that opportunity to catch up with her friend and get a few Instagram-worthy photos of the sunset. Not paying any attention, the golf cart stopped at the top of the 3rd hole of the South Course where Hunter was just a spec in the distance and ready to propose to his future wife. In complete shock, Ali walked a mile towards the green where Hunter got down on one knee and popped the question during a picturesque night on the West Coast.
