At the start of 2022, during Alexa's sophomore year at Messiah University, she began going to Christian Life Assembly. At one of the first worship nights for young adults that she attended, Alexa saw Hunter pouring himself some coffee before service. She was like, "who is THAT handsome man over there?" and instantly made a friend introduce them to each other. Hunter was immediately captivated by her beautiful smile and bubbly personality, and knew that she was someone he just had to get to know and have in his life. After that, they served together at youth group, attended a small group together at church, and always found themselves chatting away and laughing together at just about any event they were at. From 2022 to 2024, Alexa and Hunter 's friendship grew. Hunter was always encouraging Alexa, making her smile and laugh hysterically every time he saw her, and Alexa has always been such a bright light in Hunter's life, bringing so much joy, encouragement, and excitement to each and every day. Alexa was always praying for Hunter about anything they talked about, watching him playing guitar for every church service, and enjoying every chance they had to talk. Fast forward to February 2024, Alexa and Hunter found themselves chatting away for a while after every church service, but every time it felt like only a few minutes had gone by. As feelings for each other grew deeper, they both secretly began to consider the possibility of something more. On Easter of 2024, Hunter and Alexa ended up talking after church, leading to a text from Hunter that afternoon... and they never stopped! They sent book-length texts back and forth for weeks. On April 5, 2024, Hunter and Alexa admitted their feelings for each other, and Hunter asked Alexa to coffee. The next day, he bought her a latte, and they talked for six hours straight at Starbucks. They've been inseparable ever since! At Bruster's on April 25, 2024, Hunter asked Alexa to be his girlfriend. One beautiful, fun, strengthening year later on April 26, 2025, in the exact spot they will be getting married, Hunter asked Alexa to marry him. It was the best day ever and Alexa screamed "YES!" The Lord has blessed them abundantly in answering both of their individual prayers for a lifelong partner, and their love story has been a constant reminder of God's faithfulness. Since God brought them together, Hunter and Alexa have been filled with so much JOY, purpose, and a love deeper and more special than either of them knew existed. They can't wait to get married and spend the rest of their lives loving each other!
