Welcome!

Nick and I met while working at The Hotel Palomar in Dallas, TX. I accepted a position at the front desk when I graduated from university because I wanted to get some experience in the hospitality industry. Nick was working as a valet/bellman at the time. According to Nick, he saw me through the glass front doors from afar and knew instantly he had to introduce himself. So, he walked on over, did exactly that and asked me what kind of music I liked. We started chatting, and it came out I had an electric piano I wanted to sell. He said he always wanted to learn piano (I think that was true...) and offered to buy it from me. When I suggested just bringing it to work the next day, he said "No, why don't we meet for lunch?". I remember thinking to myself initially "why do we need to have lunch to exchange a piano..?". Then it hit me! He was asking me on a date! Haha, how clever. : ) We met at Cici's for our "piano exchange" and had a lovely time. But, he truly won me over when he picked me up for our second date wearing a plaid shirt and plaid shorts (not the same plaid pattern of course...) and then proceeded to beat me in our second game of air hockey (I creamed him in the first.) because he made me laugh so hard at his sports commentating, I scored on myself multiple times!
