The River House Lounge offers libations and bar bites daily from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. In the late afternoons, guests of the resort are encouraged stop by here for "porching," a tradition of unwinding and socializing over complimentary sweet tea, lemonade and freshly baked cookies. The Canteen in Moreland Village is a perfect stop to pick up a cup of coffee or breakfast sandwich in the morning, and a homemade panini, wrap, salad or snacks in the afternoon. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Serving casual, Mexican-style fare for lunch, Fore & Aft has a prime vantage point for viewing the avian sanctuary located just beyond the back yard of the Inn, where scenes of graceful egrets and herons gliding to and fro are everyday occurrences. Also in the heart of Old Town Bluffton, The Bluffton Room serves American cuisine in an intimate and vibrant atmosphere. Their well crafted cocktails, gracious service and table-side preparations evoke the feeling of a lively dinner party. The Bluffton Room serves dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Corner Perk is a coffeehouse and brunch restaurant where city meets South. Here, southern hospitality and comfort food is fused with the creativity of urban culture. This spot offers locally roasted coffees, teas, espresso drinks, cold Brew, frappes, and smoothies as well as skillets, omelettes, wraps, sandwiches, and salads. We are big fans of the chicken pesto sandwich/salad! Corner Perk is open 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Located in historic downtown Bluffton along Calhoun and Lawrence Streets and through Carson Cottages, this family friendly market showcases local growers, food vendors, entertainment, community causes and information about the Bluffton area. If you are in town on Thursday, the market runs from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - check it out!
Wilson Landing: Grab a paddleboard, kayak or canoe and head out on the May River. Check in here to learn more about boat tours, fishing, etc. May River Golf Course: Designed to challenge golfers of all skill levels, the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course meanders through the May River Forest and features wide, inviting fairways with strategic bunkers. Wilson Lawn & Racquet Club: This expansive club facility includes eight Har-Tru tennis courts, two bocce courts, four courtside shelters and a well-equipped pro shop and pavilion. Healthy populations of pine and live oak provide shade and ambiance, while two lighted, exhibition-size courts are home to plenty of excitement, day and night. Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club: The Club features 13 sporting clays stations winding through an expansive 40-acre forest. An elevated and covered 5-stand station, plus a wobble deck field make for a total of 15 shooting sites.
In addition to the many different services offered by the Montage Spa, there are three pools - each with a different vibe - located on the property as well as three fitness centers and two movement studios with fitness classes.
There are over 20 miles of trails within Palmetto Bluff that are open to the public (no fee required). The trails are a combination of paved, and hard sand, and are great for walking, running, horseback riding, hiking and biking. Please stop by Recreation in Wilson Village, the Ship’s Store at Wilson Landing or the Outfitters in Moreland Village for a map detailing Palmetto Bluff’s trails. May River Excursions is based in Old Town Bluffton and offers a variety of boating experiences ranging from cruises to fishing, crabbing and shrimping excursions. For those guests staying in Palmetto Bluff who did not rent a car but would like to check out Old Town Bluffton, May River Excursions offers a water taxi between Palmetto Bluff and Old Town. The Company also operates a water taxi that departs from Old Town Bluffton and the route takes you through the back waterways and marshes between Palmetto Bluff, Hilton Head Island, and Daufuskie Island. These trips are by reservation with the last taxi running at 10:00 p.m.
