We met at the University of Pikeville. After passing each other multiple times in between classes I finally worked up the courage to follow him on Instagram. He messaged me a few days later asking if I would like to go to the library for a study date. One study date led to another and before we knew it we were spending more time together than apart. Every weekend was spent together making crock pot dinners in our dorm rooms and watching Luke's beloved Tennessee Volunteers play football or my choice of a "sappy, romantic movie" as Luke likes to call them. It didn't take long for us to realize we were made for one another.
While on our vacation at Carolina Beach, I proposed during an evening walk on the beach. I knew Adriane was the one I had always dreamed of spending the rest of my life with. Almost two years after we started dating, I decided it was time to pop the question. After countless conversations, brainstorming, and laughter about the future I knew in my heart she felt the same way. That night I used the "potential" rain as an excuse to wear a jacket she knew I would get too hot in to hide the ring and message in a bottle. Thankfully, she stayed oblivious to my nervous body language and awkward clothing choice and was completely thrown off guard. Now we are happier than ever to be planning our wedding. We cannot wait to see how our story continues!
