The Wedding Website of Andrew Hummel and Marissa Esterberg
let us help you! feel free to call/text/email with any additional questions! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the wedding and especially COVID-19, please call or text Marissa at (612) 581-8787 or email at marissa.esterberg@gmail.com. I am happy to help!
Question

How will we mitigate COVID-19 transmission risk at the wedding?

Answer

Please wear a mask during the ceremony. This will be the only time we are all in one place. While the chairs will be spread out to the best of their ability, we would still like to be respectful of everyone. After the ceremony, we will spread out throughout the venue and outdoor areas. We request that you exercise caution for yourself and others, by respecting others' space, and asking about comfort level before stepping into anyone's space. Cocktail hour and dinner are both open concept and you may ebb and flow throughout the venue as you please.

Question

What is the situation with COVID-19 and the wedding?????

Answer

Well, we're not sure. Who is!? The Barn (our ceremony and reception site, as well as the caterer) has been really great to work with during this uncertain time. The venue is comprised of 3 open air barn spaces (which will be heated if needed) - so their capacity is unlimited by state regulations. Andrew and I plan to get COVID tested prior to travelling to Wisconsin for the wedding, and we recommend you do the same. If you plan ahead, this should be able to be done for free. If you are comfortable attending the wedding, we are SO HAPPY to have you with us. If you prefer to wear a mask or social distance while in attendance, this is (of course) acceptable. Please be mindful of everyone's choices, and wear a mask while in proximity to people who are practicing social distancing. The health and safety of YOU - our closest friends and family - and your loved ones is our absolute priority.

Question

Will there be a link to watch the ceremony virtually?

Answer

Yes! We have explored this option and the wedding venue will be able to support a link that anyone unable to come to the wedding can use. Please check back to the website and this FAQ specifically on the day of the wedding, specifically closer to 3:30 pm CT when the wedding will start. We will know more about the link when it is set up prior to the wedding. Nick Moore is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting. Question

I can't find the Cobblestone Inn & Suites website anymore????

Answer

They went through a recent (and untimely) name change to the Rolling Oaks Inn & Suites. You can now find them at www.rollingoaksinnandsuites.com, or the same phone number as before. I recommend double checking on your reservation if you are uncertain!

Question

Will the wedding be postponed or cancelled if COVID-19 precautionary measures prevent large gatherings?

Answer

In what is hopefully a worst case scenario, we may need to cancel the wedding. In this case, we would still plan on getting married on 24-Oct-2020, at the barn, with just our immediate families by our sides. We appreciate your understanding in this uncertain time, and we pray this won't be the case!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by 15-Sep-2020. Thank you!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the venue?

Answer

Yes! There will be a shuttle running from the Cobblestone Inn & Suites Hotel (aka Rolling Oaks Inn & Suites) to the venue prior to the ceremony, after the ceremony, and throughout the evening as you may need to go back and forth. Shuttle departs Rolling Oaks/Cobblestone at 3pm for arrival in time for the ceremony, and will subsequently depart from the venue back to the hotel at 4:30p, 9p, 10p, and 11:15p.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The barn has parking spaces for more guests than we are inviting, so parking should not be an issue.

Question

I'm worried about booking travel and hotel due to COVID-19. What should I do?

Answer

As far as air travel, many airlines have insurance policies that waive change fees if you feel uncomfortable flying when the time for travel comes around. Check with your preferred airline prior to booking. For travel by car, we can play that one by ear! Hopefully that will not be an obstacle. In regards to accommodations, I've spoken with both hotels we reserved rooms at, and they have lenient cancellation policies in place due to the pandemic. Cobblestone Inn & Suites has 24-hour cancellation, and AmericInn Inn & Suites has a 48-hour cancellation policy. This means that as long as you cancel your reservation 24 or 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will be able to cancel free of charge. Feel free to confirm this when you do decide to book. In addition, the barn is located in a very rural area, so we don't expect many other attractions to book up these hotels. You're likely safe to wait until closer to the wedding date to book your room!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please contact us or fill out your RSVP to indicate this. Or both, you can never be too careful! We will have gluten free options already available, just indicate if you are gluten free on your RSVP. We are hoping that's the only allergen we'll run into!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Amazon, Target, Ikea, and Zola.com! You can shop online, on this site, or in-store. Take a look at the "registries" tab for more info.
