(BJX) Leon-Bajio International Airport - Has daily nonstop flights available from most major cities and the drive from the BJX airport to San Miguel is about (1 hr 40 min). (MEX) Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport - This airport is about 3 hours from San Miguel.

COVID INFO

SMA has reported very low rates of infections. The city also has very modern healthcare facilities. On 1/26/21, the US enacted a policy that requires all travellers leaving the US to present a negative COVID test in order to return. We believe this restriction may be lifted prior to June, however, in the event it is still in place, we recommend the following: 1. For those of you planning to depart on Thursday or Friday and return Sunday, you can get a COVID test in the US on Thursday and use that test for your Sunday return. 2. For those of you planning to stay longer, we have a detailed list of all of the locations offering COVID tests in and around San Miguel below. Advance appointments are recommended. The antigen tests start at $15 and the PCR tests start at $46. There will be testing for $30-40 at Casa Hyder on 6/3 around 5pm. See the Photo tab for a list of testing locations.
