We met in high school, in fact we were friends, and even hung out in the same group; but never dated. Years passed and we fell out of touch until we found each other again through social media. Many coffee dates and haircuts later our friendship turned into forever.

We went on a dream vacation to Portugal, because that's where my parents are from. Eric made the arrangements and without my knowledge asked both my mom and dad for their blessing to marry me. So while we were on a casual walk Eric was on the hunt for the perfect setting to pop the question. Then there it was, a beautiful lighthouse in the background of rolling grassy hills. Because it was such a beautiful place Eric suggested we stop and take a picture; then he propped up the phone and put it on video mode came over to me and got down on one knee. Needless to say, I said, "YES!"
