We aimed to invite all significant others we are aware of, and that should already be reflected on your invite and RSVP page. HOWEVER if there's someone we missed, or come September, there's someone important in your life that you want to have join our celebration, please let us know.
The dress code is semi formal, and not at all strict. We trust you all to wear something sensible, comfortable, and appropriate. Women should just try to avoid solid burnt orange dresses so you don't match the bridesmaids. COLORS: Fall colors. Our main colors are burnt orange, navy, olive, and gold. The bridesmaids will be in burnt orange dresses and groomsmen in burnt orange ties. ATTIRE: Loosely Semi-Formal. The bridesmaid dresses will be velvet. The groomsmen will be in tweed three-piece suits.
Absolutely! Please do. If you want to make something special using your time and skills, we would cherish that--whatever it is!
We did! We typed them all on an old typewriter.
The gold wax seal was the "double happiness symbol" a Chinese character that is used extensively in decorations at a Chinese wedding. The stamp had a phoenix and dragon, the symbol of the Emperor and Empress. Also a common Chinese wedding symbol.
We are planning on an Asian fusion buffet, with chicken, beef, and vegan protein options, along with rice, vegetables, and sauces. And of course there will be cake!
We have a GIFT registry too! Zola tried to bury it at the bottom of the registry page cause we did use them for the registry, but if you keep scrolling it is there! Or, even simpler--here is the link to it: https://www.myregistry.com/wedding-registry/ryan-myers-and-hui-zhu-cheverly-md/4172555/giftlist
