We met in the most typical modern way: virtually! We were using the Mutual dating app around the end of 2023, and we ran into each other’s profiles. I swiped yes due to her beauty and her quote that the world is a better place because “[I’m] in it”. Jasmin swiped no at first. Eventually, she chose the option to look back at her previously declined profiles, saw my profile again, was curious about how I looked in person, and saw potential in me, so she decided to swipe yes. It was a match! Ironically, we did match on Hannah’s birthday, but November 13th, 2023, marks the day we started talking. What started as simple conversations turned into interest, where I asked Jasmin out on a date. I chose Sunset Beach as the location for our first date. We could not stop talking to each other that night, to where I wanted to continue talking to her at Cheesecake Factory. Before we went our separate ways, I expressed how much I wanted to see her again and asked her out on another date, which she accepted. From the first date, I knew there was something special about her. After a few short months and a couple of fun dates later, I asked her to be my girlfriend on January 19th, 2024. Seventeen amazing months later, Heavenly Father was prompting me that it was time to ask her the big question. Through prayer, faith, and the support of family and friends, I was ready to ask my best friend to marry me. In a full-circle moment, I proposed to Jasmin at Sunset Beach on Friday, June 20th, 2025. Now I get to marry the love of my life on April 10th, 2026, for time and all eternity!
