5 years ago, a tall blonde Canadian gal walked into my life and changed it for the better. Jenna & I met at the start of 2020 during our Leadership Training Program at Surfing The Nations in Hawaii. We've been best friends ever since. Jenna is brave, resilient, compassionate and FUN! She is both the fierce prayer-warrior who is always ready to go to war for you, but also the goofy gal who is always there to brighten your day. Her love runs deep for Jesus & people, and her heart is truly one of the most wonderful places to be invited into. My favorite thing about Jenna is that she prayerfully lives her life full of faith, never letting fear win. She inspires me in more ways than she knows. I got to stand right beside Jenna on her special day, and I am beyond honored that she will stand right beside me on mine. She is my sister for life!

Viv & I met in the Fall of 2019 during our Internship at Surfing The Nations in Hawaii. Fun fact: day 1 of our program we both secretly thought each other were cool and wanted to be friends... look at us now :') Viv is intentional, kind, wise, and creative. Viv is that type of person that feels like home right away - her friendship is cozy just like a warm hot cocoa on a snowy Christmas Day (what could be cozier?!?!). My favorite thing about Viv is that she sees & brings out the best in people - it's so beautiful. She always magnifies the good. I'm blessed to have a friend like Viv! P.S. She is also the only person in the whole world I would ever watch musicals with/for (that's how much I love her).

Although our friendship was birthed here in Hawaii 5 years ago, Hope is that type of person you feel like you've known your whole life... maybe it's our California roots ;) Hope's prayers, wisdom, and love have changed my life and continue to radically shape me as a person. She brings an abundance of healing joy & laughter into every room she walks into. She is someone that will never let you settle for anything less than what God has for you. My favorite thing about Hope is that whether she's in triumph or in trial, she will worship the Lord with the fullness of her heart. I can't wait to take our kids on a Disney cruise together someday :')

8 years ago, Zoe & I were roaming around the streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina, creating memories that would truly last a lifetime. We met during a 9-month study abroad back in our Pepperdine college years. Throughout our many years of friendship, Zoe has always been consistent in the following: 1) her yearning for & yielding to Jesus, 2) her attentiveness to your heart, and 3) her JOY (which often manifests itself in very fun + endearing ways haha). Her presence brings peace & she is a bright light in this world. My favorite thing about Zoe is what I believe she embodies daily in Romans 12:15 - "Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep." This is who Zoe is <3

It was the Fall of 2015 when I was in my car on the way to Malibu to start my first year of college at Pepperdine. I vividly remember praying on that car ride that God would give me a good friend (not knowing that He would literally give me Maria in less than 24 hours). All this to say, Maria is the type of friend you pray for, but even better... she's actually more amazing than what you prayed for :') I'm convinced Maria is the most loving human you'll know. She is also insanely gifted in so many areas, yet the most humble in spirit. Her presence is powerful and the covering she's provided over me in these past years, through her prayers & encouragements, have meant the world.

A wild adventure is always on the horizon when I'm with Lish. She's like the little sister I always dreamed of having :') We always joke how years ago we never would have foreseen a deep friendship developing between the two of us (given our extremely different personalities that we didn't think would mesh), yet here we are now with the sweetest of friendships (realizing our personalities actually blend harmoniously & hilariously in the best of ways). My favorite thing about Lish is that we can go from intensely watching our zombie movies together, to then peacefully co-exisiting with each other for hours without feeling the need to say a word, to then having a deep conversation about the highs, lows, & in-betweens of life together. With Lish, all moments of life are cherishable!

Kenzie has a heart of gold. Her commitment to the people she cares about most in her life is truly remarkable. I am blessed to be seen, known, and loved by Kenzie. She is someone who inspires me to draw closer to Jesus everyday, even when the storms are raging. I've never met someone in my entire life who knows the lyrics to every song on any radio station... but that's what I love about Kenz - she always keeps me on my toes and never fails to make me smile. My favorite thing about Kenzie is that she is bold and unashamed in what she knows to be true - it's so powerful. I'm beyond grateful for mi amiga Kenzie!
Ethan Mowery

Ethan is a man of commitment, intentionality, and spice. Sports enthusiast, recovering sneakers junkie, and a newly married man! Once he puts his mind on doing something, literally nothing can stop him. Whether that is running a marathon, doing full time schooling and fulltime work at the same time, or learning Swedish. He better be fluent on my wedding day. Some of my favorite times with Ethan have been on stage at Surfers Church backing him up on keys as he leads worship, hangouts in 206, or crazy times at Nara's yurts (if you know, you know). Ethan has seen me at my best and at my worst, and has shown me grace time and time again. When I fall down 7 times, he has been there to pick me up the 8th time. Grateful for the man of God I get to call my best man!

I was practically there when this man was born. As we grew up we did most things together. He ran circles around me during track and field, and although he is my third cousin, he is close to me like a brother. This is a man who loves adventure and who doesn’t shy away from a challenge, and he showed me that when we backpacked south east Asia for 3 months. He is also famous for picking up new hobbies as quickly as he is dropping them haha. Having Oliver present at my wedding is a must have!

Coffee connoisseur, Drift King, Wavestorm shredder, svärmorsdröm. We’ve been roommates and worked together for over 4 years, so he has given me all the practice I need to be a good husband! Dan Dan is one of the wisest men I know, and he has consistently been in my corner through my highs and lows. Dan models what it looks like to live life ALL-IN, and to do that with grace and style. I love adventuring together with this dude and look forward to a lot more adventures to come!

This man surfs XXL Waimea, drinks arguably too much coffee, rocks a strong mullet, and is the most patriotic American man you will ever meet. Zach is a brother who has been by my side to give me a shoulder to lean on, timely encouragement, or a kick in the pants when needed… and I’ve needed a lot of kicks! He has been and still is incredibly steadfast in my life, and he has also taught me what grace looks like. If there's anyone who have seen my ugliest side, it is Zach. I am incredibly grateful for his love and support!

I challenge you to find one thing that Danny cannot do. He has more tools and gadgets than I will probably own in my lifetime. He is the human swiss army knife - ready to jump in to help and take charge wherever it is needed. Danny has been pushing me to step out in my giftings since I’ve known him, and has played a huge role in me growing closer to Jesus. I really value that Danny is a man who sees the best in people!

One time when we were roommates, I sleepwalked and crawled into his bed (he told me if I had taken one more step he would have pushed me off haha). Ben is a man who inspires me to do the hard things well, and I value that he doesn’t shy away from a deep conversation. He is also a huge reason why I stepped out in worship leading (I needed to be pushed HARD). Ben is steady, reliable, and has the best laugh ever. Very grateful to have this man in my life!

This dude has both class and style - literally and metaphorically! He is one of the most selfless, caring people you will ever meet. He doesn’t break a sweat driving across the country or in my case, traveling across the whole world to come see you. I got to know him 3 years ago when I led his Bible school, and we still joke about the trouble he gave me back then haha. He is a man of character and a constant encouragement to me!
