We met on June 18, 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. With not much else to do at the time, we both found ourselves spending more time on the golf course. Taylor was working at Black Gold Golf Course and she and her best friend Steffy decided it was the perfect opportunity to finally get good at golf. That same day, Mike happened to be playing as well, since two of his friends also worked there. After spotting Taylor in the pro shop and learning from his friend Juan that she worked at the course, Mike waited at the first tee box, hoping for the chance to join her group. We ended up playing nine holes together, and what started as a casual round of golf quickly turned into something much more meaningful. At the end of the round, Mike asked for Taylor’s Instagram or Snapchat — but instead, she gave him her phone number. The rest, as they say, is history. On November 8, 2024, Mike proposed at sunset at the very spot where we first met — the first tee box at Black Gold. With both of our parents there to witness the moment, it was the most perfect and unforgettable surprise. We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you! Love, Taylor and Mike
