We're Getting Married

We had started texting before our first date. He was funny and sweet. I think he thought I was pretty funny too. Our first date was at PF Chamgs. It was a good date filled with some good Asian food though Aaron's plate was much better than mine. Great conversation and he was a gentleman throughout - paying for my meal, opening the door, and walking me to my car. He didn't kiss me that night; it took 3 dates for our first kiss. That night he texted saying he had a great time and that he wanted to see me again and I agreed. Aaron went all out took me to a fancy place - bottle of wine included. We went bowling afterwards and he won by a lot. We were smitten and have been inseparable. We traveled to Cabo for his cousin's beautiful wedding. There I got to meet the whole family. They were wonderful and very welcoming. This pass November we traveled to his hometown in Arkansas and met more of his family. We have gone to many concerts such as Elton John, traveled a bit, gone to countless weddings and now planning our own dream day.

I have never been big on huge gestures. Aaron sort of let the big surprise out while eating pizza waiting on a tire to get changed. He said something along the lines of "I'm going to marry you. I already asked your dad and bought a ring." And me being the curious one kept asking question. When we got to his house I asked him how the ring looked. As I was sitting down watching TV, Aaron came into the room. He told me this was a shitty way to ask and not how he planned, but that he loved me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said "yes" and then we went and got my ring resized. A week later when I had my ring we told our families. It isn't the greatest proposal story but its us - its perfect. We are so excited to share our big day with all our loved ones and continue to make more imperfect memories.
