Things To Do
Torrey Pines Golf Course
Play the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course, host of the 2018 and 2021 US Open Championship. 10 minute drive from the Village of La Jolla. Tee times book fast so calling in advanced is recommended (or try to walk on early morning on the day of).
The Cove
Walk down from the Village of La Jolla to Coast Blvd to see the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean as well as some furry faces- Seals! The Children's Pool is a guarantee for seal watching, but you can often see them sun bathing up and down the cliffs. No swimming here though!
Windansea Beach
Visit the famous surf spot, Windnsea Beach. This is a short drive from the hotels (or walkable along the beach if low tide). Here you can swim, watch the surfers and enjoy epic sunsets. Waves can be big here due to the shore break, so for more experienced swimmers.
la Jolla Shores Beach
A bit more touristy, but much easier swimming. Long wide beaches with rolling waves. Great for body surfing, boogie boarding, or surfing if you're up for it.
Torrey Pines State Reserve
Hike the beautiful Torrey Pines State Reserve. Hikes range from beginner to more advanced but all are pretty manageable. Start from the top and hike all the way down to the famous Black's Beach.
San Diego Zoo
Visit the world famous San Diego Zoo. Great for kids and adults alike. Don't forget to visit the Koalas! 20 minute drive from La Jolla
George's at the Cove
Great views and good food a short walk from the La Jolla hotels. If the weather is nice, sit at the top for a direct view of La Jolla Cove
