Our Story
Hugh and Maddie first met in Eau Claire, WI while attending college at UWEC. It was here that they both found themselves "swiping right" on each others profiles and had their first date at the infamous Panera Bread. After many dates, on December 11, 2020 Hugh officially asked Maddie to be his girlfriend.
Their journey together as a couple would see them through many of life's chapters. They watched each other graduate college, moved in together in Rochester, MN for their first jobs, adopted a dog named Herbert, and moved up to Minneapolis, MN where they had always wanted to be.
On August 31, 2025 in Hatfield, WI at Hugh's family cabin, Hugh finally asked Maddie to spend the rest of their lives together. He asked her to marry him - which leads us to today.
Mackinac Island provided Hugh and Maddie with many special memories during their dating years, and they couldn't think of anywhere else to solidify their bond for the rest of their lives - surrounded by friends and family.
