We first met as middle school classmates in 2004 in Shanghai. We studied together and became good friends. Unfortunately we did not hit it off right away, but we had built up something beyond friendship during these three years and we officially started dating in 2007.

In 2010, we both graduated from high school and Hugh decided to study abroad in the US. It was difficult at first, dealing with the time difference and distance, but we kept closely in touch via emails and phone calls. During this time, Lexi decided to pursue her master’s degree in the US, and she left for Maryland in 2014, while Hugh moved to New York City.

During thanksgiving 2015, our family added a new member: our cat Bailey. It took a lot of effort taking care of him and bringing him to Sydney, but it was all worth it.

We’re making it official and celebrating with the people we love.
