We’re getting married!

Emily and Matt met in 2011 when Emily started working at Menards. There was always a connection, and many laughs were shared when they worked together. As their job paths split, so did their communication. However, Matt periodically, every year, would message Emily and ask her how she was doing, and check in. December of 2016, Matt made his “check in” more bold, and kept Emily interested! They couldn't stop talking, laughing, and connecting on a deeper level that neither of them had with anyone else. Emily and Matt felt all the signs that their paths aligned again 6 years later for a reason, and soon a first date was had. The rest is history... Matt and Emily have spent much of their relationship long distance. As Matt continued to climb the corporate ladder, his place of living shifted from Washington IL, Elgin IL, Chippewa Falls WI, and then finally their first Residence together in Granger IN. Matt and Emily's relationship grew strong on a foundation of many miles apart, but love, faith, and hard work cultivated their dreams to provide the life they wanted to live together. Matt proposed to Emily on a double kayak in the middle of Lake Leelenau MI, a place and area with many happy and cherished memories that Emily began to share with Matt, making the proposal extra special.
