The wedding is going to be at Dreams Resort in Tulum, Mexico. Address: Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa, Puerto Juarez, Carretera Chetumal Km. 236, 77760 Tulum, Q.R., Mexico It is about 1.5 hour from either Cancun (CUN) or 1 hour Tulum (TQO) airport.
We wanted to pick a place close to our hearts that we can share with our friends and family. Tulum holds a lot of significance and memories for us over the years and we would love it if our loved ones are able to create their own memories there as well. About the resort itself (if you didn't already AskJeeves to learn more about it) First off, Dreams Tulum shares a beach with sea turtles that hatch seasonally from July through December. There are even live nests on the resort grounds that we can hopefully see turtles hatch from! Second, it is an all-inclusive resort (meaning all food & drinks are included). There are 8 different restaurants to choose from all within walking distance from one another (no reservations needed). It included a fairly large kids club. The fitness center was a little whelming. It was a no-frills kind of gym but it did have a squat rack and some real weights I can throw around which was nice for me. We did visit the resort beforehand in person to make sure it felt safe and was what we wanted and we feel like it will be the perfect place for us to celebrate our wedding with everyone that can make it! ^_^
Most people are planning to arrive Wednesday (Aug 6th) through Sunday (Aug 10)
You can try to look online for airport transfers depending on which airport you're arriving in. If you do need assistance, Lucy, our amazing travel Planner can help facilitate that for you.
There was but that time has passed. That said, it is not too late to join in on all the funtivities that are happening. We still have found good deals at the Costco Travels website (Just make sure its the correct resort) or even the Hyatt Website itself still has pretty affordable rates. Again, just book any room in the resort and come and party with us! The only real deadline now is making it to the wedding, which is August 8th, 2025. If you have any questions or issues, feel free to reach out to either Kat or Huey.
The booking website is kind of confusing so we wanted to provide an estimate on overall cost for the entire trip if you were to book at through the link on the TRAVEL section. The cost for the resort stay & amenities (Unlimited food & drinks), airport transportation (roundtrip from airport to resort) are as follows: 5 days - $891.03 per person 4 days - $712.82 per person - Wednesday through Sunday - *Recommended* 3 days - $534.62 per person *Flights not included* There are other hotels and AirBnB options close by as well so don't feel like you are forced to hang out with us the entire time. ^_^ Sidenote: We do recognize that this is both a major financial & time commitment from everyone wanting to attend our special day. We would just like to take this time again to thank you for even considering making the voyage for us. Obviously, we want everyone to come but understand completely if things fall through for one reason or another. We will try to make this event as memorable as possible and make this worth using up your PTO!
Not really but why don't you want to hang out with us. There are other Airbnb options out there and other hotels in the area (though not any in walking distance to the resort). That said, the resort does charge a daily fee if you are not a registered guest
Not really. For the wedding, everything is inclusive on the resort so food and drinks are already covered (though having tipping money always helps). Spa and other services can cost extra but you can also use credit cards for those things as well. That said, the town of Tulum is only 15 minutes away and the resort does offer transportation to and from the town. So, if you plan on exploring the sights and sounds, it would make sense to have some cash in local currency (Mexican Pesos) handy.
Absolutely! Our goal was for our family & friends to be able to make memories with their loved ones as well. Destination weddings are generally expensivo and even though we tried to minimize the cost as much as we can, it is still an investment to come celebrate with us. We appreciate the sacrifice our friends and family are making to join us on our special day and would love it if your families were able to enjoy it as well. We wanted an experience that allowed families to feel comfortable to make the most out of their time at the resort. Due to space, the wedding ceremony itself might not have the capacity for a lot of children (depending on how many people end up attending) but they are definitely welcome to the reception and other events.
Google says its going to be hot so I would plan for that. As for dress code, its a wedding on a beach.... so you know....wedding clothes. If you need more specific answers, CHATgpt suggested light, comfortable clothing as a must! Also, don’t forget your swimsuit, sunscreen, comfortable shoes for walking, and dressy attire for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony itself will be held on the Sunset Terrace overlooking the water. It will be an outdoor venue on hard ground (not sand or grass).
Kat or Huey. If you don't have our phone number, facebook messenger or even whatsAPP then how did you even hear about this wedding? ^_^
Your presence is the greatest gift! Second to that would be money... The first is more important than the second but if you do wish to contribute Zola made me have a registry page and I'll probably link my venmo and/or cashAPP thing there.
