Mike & Melissa were destined to meet but fate (and Match.com) wanted to make sure the timing was perfect. Starting with their 1st date (escape room & dinner) they realized they communicate, work well together & have similar values, life goals. They made a pact to switch weeks planning dates. Each choice of weekly adventure was a peek into the others interests without realizing it. Their love for adventures has grown throughout their relationship & become one of their passions. On their 1st date, they discussed things that were important. Did they want kids? To get married? Where do they stand with faith? If not aligned on these 3 fronts then why continue. Without fully knowing who the other person was, they dove into the deep end. They were intrigued to learn more about the other person. The trust that has ensued over the course of their relationship & the love that’s grown out of that trust has been like nothing either has experienced. Their love, respect, trust & admiration was well worth the wait. On 11/2/19 they went winetasting in Paso Robles, rode to Cambria & went to a special lights display, Sensorio. Once the lights came on, Mike knew this was the perfect place to propose, but he didn’t have the ring with him. How could he possibly propose without a ring? Mike told Melissa that he wanted to propose BUT he didn’t have a ring with him. They improvised and used the ring she had always worn. A week later the real ring was ready. Neither one has known a more loving, honest relationship. What was two separate lives has grown into one combined life. There were things that they had in common from the start, like love for running, puzzles, faith, & family. Neither could’ve known how much they’d enjoy growing with each other including sharing interests & learning to cook. Melissa now watches sports & has joined a fantasy football league. Mike knows how to use the Cricut & enjoys crafting with Melissa. It’s the balance that keeps their relationship fun.
