FAQs

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We have a small registry for those who prefer to purchase physical items (linked under the "Registry" tab) and are grateful for any gifts. That said, we ask that guests consider contributing to our home renovation fund or our honeymoon fund. We are blessed to have a home filled with most everything we need, and would appreciate friends and family helping us enhance our married life in this alternate way. Thank you for your generosity, whatever you decide!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Invitations will be mailed out about 4 months prior to the wedding, and RSVPs are due no later than May 22, 2027. Please RSVP here on our wedding website, or by mailing your RSVP card back to the address on your invitation.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony? The reception?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to account for the walk to the garden. Transportation can be provided for guests with mobility issues upon request. Please plan to arrive at the reception hall for the cocktail hour at 5:30pm. If you wish to skip the cocktail hour, please ensure you are seated in the reception hall by 6:30pm to avoid coinciding with the bridal party's entrance. Thank you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is summer semi-formal. Masculine-presenting guests should wear dress shirts with a tie and slacks, a light suit, etc. Feminine-presenting guests should wear dresses or skirts at or below the knee, formal jumpsuits/rompers etc. Please avoid solid-black or primarily-white attire (black shirt with black slacks, plain black dress, white dresses/tops/skirts). Feel free to contact the matron of honor or mother of the bride with any questions!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We wish we could celebrate with everyone, but due to a hard limit of 175 guests, we’re sadly unable to offer plus-ones for every guest. Invitations will be addressed to all invited members of your party, so please check your invitation for details. We may be able to extend additional invitations if space allows after we receive RSVPs--we will reach out directly if this proves possible. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow our guests the opportunity to fully enjoy the night without worrying about their little ones, we ask that all children in attendance be 13 years of age or older.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have some lovely hotel options listed under the "Travel" tab. We will have hotel blocks available at the Towne Place, Comfort Inn, and Hampton Inn very soon!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Our reception venue has plenty of parking! There is also parking at our ceremony venue, but Julia's Garden is about 0.3 miles from the Buhl Park designated parking area. Guests may be dropped off at the ceremony venue, but drivers will need to park in the designated parking area and walk about 10 minutes downhill to the Garden. Please contact the matron of honor or mother of the bride with any mobility concerns your party may have.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please notate any dietary concerns on your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate.
