Picture it.... Tumblr, 2012. The internet, we were always warned, was not the place to speak to strangers. Much to our parents' chagrin, we did not take this advice. In February of 2012 we began talking over our favorite blogging site, Tumblr, about all things Saturday Night Live and Jimmy Fallon after "following" each other for months. Just four months into talking, we knew we had to meet! On June 29th 2012, we met up for the first time in person at Old Town in Orlando. This was known as the day "Mikey meets stranger" on her family's calendar--but to us, this is the day we consider our first date. It was spent riding rollercoasters, holding hands in a haunted house and wishing we never had to leave each other's side. After a couple years of long distance love, we moved to NYC together and eventually got a place and pup of our own.

Every year, we try to take a trip somewhere to celebrate our love. Whether it is Miami, The Bahamas, The Hamptons or even The Olive Garden(we were 16, give us a break!) For our 7 year anniversary, with lots of recommendation from our friends, we drove up to Portland, Maine. We arrived in Maine with a list of things to do and see. Kayaking, shopping, dining and more. On the morning of our 7 year anniversary, we went for a very early drive to Portland Headlight. The clouds seemed ominous, but it didn't stop us from walking up a small trail to an overlook where we were greeted by rose petals sprinkled on the ground(set up courtesy of the photographer Amanda had booked to capture the moment). As Amanda got down on one knee, the rain started falling. Mikey happily said yes and then began to propose herself; taking out the ring she had hiding in her back pocket. Two proposals, one morning, lots of rain and even more love.
