Beautiful curving road that begins at the end of Georgetown and takes you to 13,000 feet elevation as you go through the mountains. There are multiple scenic overlooks and lakeside picnic spots along the pass. This is both Alexis and Gavin's top pick when people visit us in Colorado. It begins near this address: 200 Rose St, Georgetown, CO 80444.
Amazing natural beauty with multiple trails for a casual yet beautiful walk.
Completed in 1884, this spectacular stretch of three-foot narrow gauge railroad was considered an engineering marvel for its time. Also one of our favorite breweries is located in the town.
Check out the views from 14,000 feet! Pikes peak has so much to offer. You can buy a ticket on the cog train to the peak, or dare to drive up the twisting roads carved into the edge of the mountain. We really enjoyed having a picnic on the coast of a lake close to the peak of the mountain. If you want to rent or have a kayak or paddleboard, you can do so on the lake as well. Shoutout to Alexis' mom, Hope, for braving the inaugural ride of our inflatable tandem kayak.
Wonderful little town with scenic parks, tiny shops, and awesome breweries.
Amazing national park with many hikes and nearly endless natural beauty.
The park contains the tallest sand dunes in North America. The dunes cover an area of about 30 sq mi and are estimated to contain over 1.2 cubic miles of sand. This is a beautiful site but is pretty far from the venue. If you plan to visit the park plan on taking a whole day to see the park.
Awesome food and drink hall.
Ski towns aren't just for winter. Take the gondola up the mountain and enjoy a short hike surrounded by fun mountain biking, shopping and dining in the town.
This is a really fun place to spend an afternoon grabbing some tea or ice cream and shopping around. There are great views of the flatirons and great places to grab some food! We typically like to get some tea and stop at the arcade!
This is a really fun place with stunning views. It could be a great stop after visiting pikes peak! We love to stop at the local brewery then walk down to the old timey arcade section of the town for some games.
