Question

I'm unfamiliar with the Catholic mass, what can I expect for your wedding ceremony?

Answer

-Firstly, a Catholic wedding Mass is typically longer than a nonCatholic wedding ceremony. You can expect it to last approximately an hour or just over. -Secondly, our ceremony will contain a lot of sitting, standing, and kneeling. It should be easy to follow along with the queues given by others around you. -The Mass will also contain a lot of singing and chanting, most of which will be in Latin. But don't worry! A program with every chant, song, response, and action will be available for all of our guests so you can easily follow along. -Lastly, the celebration of the Eucharist and reception of communion will take place near the end of the mass. The liturgy of the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Catholic faith and of the celebration of the mass. Catholics believe that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist - body, blood, soul, and divinity. That being said, you can assume the reception of communion is a most sacred action and shows your agreement with the church's teaching on such. Therefore, if you are not a practicing Catholic that is in the state of grace (recent confession with no unconfessed mortal sins on your soul) or have not observed the fasting rules before receiving, please kindly remain in your pew in silent prayer, or you may join the communion line with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out with them!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly respond to your RSVP by November 15th. We must give our venue and vendors a final count, so will need final numbers by then. Thank you!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have finally started our registry, and are registered at several locations such as Amazon and Bed, Bath, & Beyond. We have housed all the various registry locations under one website. Simply follow the link below to be directed to our wish list. You can also find the link on the registry tab of the website. https://www.myregistry.com/giftlist/sarah-and-gabe-hingedtoheron

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We just ask that you dress your very best and in a modest manner! Especially with it being a winter wedding, it gives so much opportunity for some super classy and elegant attire. It will likely be a little chilly out so men shouldn't get hot with a suit or tux jacket and make sure your girl brings a sweater! Also ladies, feel free to wear floor length gowns or if you opt for a shorter dress, tights will help keep you warm!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

PLEASE only bring a date or plus one if indicated on your invitation. Unfortunately, we have limited space at our venue and simply cannot accept anyone else that we have not already counted. If you have questions about anything, please reach out!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! If your kids are on your invitation, please bring them! Children (between 5 and 16) will be seated in a separate ballroom with their peers for the dinner portion but can join the adults downstairs to enjoy the rest of the reception afterward! If I accidentally missed your children on your invitation, please shoot me a text or email and we will work out the details.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Please reference the schedule tab of the website for details on all of the events surrounding the wedding. We want to see as many of you at as many events as possible!
