I met Brooke and Julia after work on Cinco De Mayo at Volstead in Eagan, MN for dinner and drinks. As we were about to leave, this handsome man started singing on the patio and we just knew we couldn’t leave. He introduced himself as Timothy Howe, and I instantly needed to hear him sing my favorite song, Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. I was too shy to ask, so Brooke walked up and requested it on my behalf. Tim waved to me and started playing it, beautifully. After a celebratory shot of Tequila and some witty banter back and forth, we parted ways and that was that. Or so I thought... Months went by, when Brooke and I decided to meet for drinks and dinner. We walked in and immediately noticed Tim on stage. As we made our way towards our table, passing the stage, Tim started playing his next song. It was Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. Needless to say, he caught my attention. After his show, he came over to say hi in his charming and engaging way. Even with great conversation, we parted ways. Some time went by, and we crossed paths again back at Volstead. He bought my friends and I a round of drinks, and after a fun evening I left to head home. Realizing I forgot to thank Tim for the drinks, I reached for my phone but didn’t have his number to contact him. I suddenly remembered we were friends on Facebook. I went to message him and saw that he was messaging me at that same moment. He asked me out on a date, we’ve been together ever since, the rest is history, and we can’t wait to celebrate our future together with you all this December! Melissa & Tim P.S.
