Our story starts way back in 2014 when I moved to Seymour with my family. We were in 7th grade—awkward, nerdy kids with glasses and crooked teeth (especially me). I had to join band, and that's when my little friend group started to come together. It’s also where I met Tanner. Looking back, I always knew Tanner had a little crush on me from day one, but I told myself I wasn't going to date him. I had other plans—or so I thought. Tanner, on the other hand, says he knew he was going to marry me from the very beginning. I guess he was more certain than I was. Our first dance together was at the middle school dance, and we awkwardly swayed to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.” Little did I know, that song would later become the one we chose for our first dance at our wedding. Over the years, we stuck by each other through band trips, bullying, school games, and a ton of ups and downs. We were there for it all. After graduating in 2020, we both went to the same college. I ended up transferring and lost contact with Tanner for almost three years. Then, out of nowhere, he messaged me just to check in. He sent me flowers for Valentine’s Day—something I had never gotten from a guy before—and a week later, we were dating. Looking back, I never would’ve guessed that the 7th grade versions of us—the awkward, goofy kids—would end up here, planning our future together. But Tanner always knew. He always believed we were meant to be. We can't wait to celebrate this crazy journey with all of you and start this next chapter of our story together. — Leah & Tanner
