In the 1980s, Martha Dixon and Maureen Giles crossed paths at the College of William and Mary. In 2001, their daughters Clara and Mattie first met at age 7 when Clara moved to Charlotte for her parents to start working at the same church as Martha. Clara and Mattie attended middle and high school together, later lived together in their 20s, and remain best friends who now live four minutes apart. Mattie served as our officiant and Clara's maid of honor for the wedding.
