Bridesmaid
Susie and Katherine have been inseparable best friends, partners in crime, and occasionally mistaken as sisters ever since they lived together as roommates at Wofford College. When Katherine moved to Oxford for graduate school, she abandoned all prospects of finding another roommate, because no soul could possibly compare to Susie's ability to comfort, counsel, and reciprocate the desire to run around Phase V with sparklers on graduation eve. Susie is gracious, fiercely loyal, and wise beyond measure. She provides the most insightful advice, which also makes her Katherine's favorite shopping companion. Susie is the rare kind of friend who will move mountains for the people she loves, and her support has given Katherine incalculable strength over the years.

Abby and Katherine's friendship extends back to their childhood at John Knox Presbyterian Church, where they met each other as second graders attending Vacation Bible School. Inexplicably, the theme of VBS that year was bugs, but what Katherine remembers most about that week was Abby's kindness and talent for art. They immediately bonded over their shared sense of humor; simultaneously, their little brothers, both named Will, became best friends. Abby was Katherine's bunkmate at summer camp, teammate during aggressive church basketball games, and sage during later years. The Howell and Cazel kids now carry their friendship into adulthood. Abby has a heart for fairness and spreading light, and Katherine is lucky to call this warrior of a woman her friend.

Katie and Katherine met when they were assigned as teaching assistants for the same professor during their first semester as grad students. Recognizing each other a few days later at orientation, they immediately bonded over college football and shared musical interests. Together, they braved both a new town and English department, helping each other through intimidating seminars and papers, while also managing to throw some exceptionally fun tailgates and dinner parties along the way. Katie is the quintessential hostess. She has a warm spirit, a generous heart, and unparalleled cooking skills, as well as the most comfortable couch in the universe. Her unconditional friendship makes Katherine feel at home and loved through every transition.

Will is Katherine's little brother, as well as her first and truest friend. There was a brief spell in elementary school when Katherine acted like Will was annoying, simply because popular cultural representations of little brothers prescribed such behavior. Very shortly after, she realized that Will was the coolest person she knew, a fact that remains true today. On the preschool playground, Will would bite anybody who bothered Katherine, and his support continues to express itself in profoundly impactful ways. Will is imaginative, nonjudgmental, and big-hearted. He also possesses the most exceptional taste in music, and he keeps his elderly sister hip. Katherine is honored to have her Brother Man by her side on her wedding day.
Bridesmaid
Meredith and Katherine joined First Presbyterian Church in Oxford on the same Sunday in September 2017. Following Wednesday night supper shortly after, they went for drinks at Bouré, and have been soul sisters ever since. Meredith is a force of reckoning in the best way. She commits herself to her people, knows how to turn every situation into a party, and sparks joy wherever she goes. Meredith has accompanied Katherine on many inane adventures, walks through the park, and dinners at Volta. Her enormous heart and sense of accountability make her the most sincere friend.
