There are several ways to travel to Buena Vista, Colorado. Option 1: Denver International Airport (DIA) * Fly into Denver International Airport. * Rent a car or use a rideshare service for the approximate 2.5-hour drive to Buena Vista. Option 2: Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport (GUC) * Fly into Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport. * Rent a car or use a rideshare service for the approximately 1.5-hour drive to Buena Vista. Option 3: Driving * Buena Vista is about a 13-hour drive from Austin, Texas. Alternative Transportation Option If you prefer not to rent a car, Amtrak offers a shuttle from Denver’s Downtown Union Station to Buena Vista for approximately $24. Tickets can be booked through the Amtrak website, and guests may find the “Plan My Trip” tool especially helpful when coordinating their travel. You will first need to take a train from Denver International Airport (DEN) to Downtown Union Station before boarding the Amtrak shuttle to Buena Vista.
