We have a registry linked to the website, however, we are OLD (oops, I mean seasoned) and have a home and WAY too much stuff cluttering all areas of it already. All we truly want is for each of you to attend the wedding and for us to get an opportunity to have all the people we love and cherish in one place at the same time. The event is a great excuse to have one heck of hoo haa (hillbilly for "party"). The registry we created is for some things we want to do while we are in California the week after the wedding (honeymoon). The things are listed as "group gifts" but that is just so multiple people can contribute to a "day of drinking on the beach" or just for a meal while we are there. You can give any amount you would like to from $5 to $5000 ( that would be a hell of a day on the beach ). No pressure to give anything at all but just in case you look at the registry and wonder what it is- it all just goes into one fund for some activities for us.
While at the beach, the main form of transportation is walking. There are bike rentals all along the beach, if you prefer to bike. Skateboarding is also popular, but givien our age, I don't recommend this option. There is also a new form of transportation called the "Bird"; which is an electric scooter that can be rented by the minute ($1.00 to start it and .15 cents a minute there after), all with the ease of downloading an app. Why didn't we think of this and make $$$. To and from the airport: We recommend Uber or Lyft. The airport is approximately a 10 minute drive to the beach. If Uber/Lyft isn't your thing, please get with us ahead of time for other options. Uber/Lyft is on every corner and is an inexpensive option, easy access, and user friendly. A rental car is not necessary, you will park it at the beach and never use it. Spaces are available for vehicles should you drive or rent at the Venue: Tower 23 Hotel. There are NO spaces to park it at the rehearsal house.
