A passport is required for travel to Mexico. Processing times can vary, so we suggest applying early. If it's your first time applying for a passport, you'll need to do so in person. More details can be found here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply.html
Hotel reservations using our block of rooms include a discount but also include a non-refundable deposit equal to the first night's stay if cancelled. The other option is to book a room directly with the hotel (outside of the block of rooms available) and request details about their cancellation policy at that time.
The peso is Mexico's national currency, though many places in Los Cabos accept U.S. dollars for convenience. Major credit cards are also accepted in most establishments. Banks offer currency exchange during business hours. Universal ATMs are widely available for cash withdrawals at the current exchange rate, and most ATMs have menus in English. The ATMs only dispense pesos.
