The River Center is a big building - How do I find your wedding specifically?

Answer

The River Center is divided into a north and south side venue space. Our wedding is in the south side venue. You will enter from the east side of the building (off of 3rd Street), with the doors off of the covered patio. We will have a sign outside to direct you!

Where can I park

Answer

You can park in Lot B of the River Center complex (use the driveway on the south side of the building and the parking lot is on the west side of the building). There will be signs directing you to the right place. You will tell the parking attendants that you are going to the Householter/Boyle wedding.

What time should I arrive for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding reception will start promptly at 4pm. We recommend arriving by 3:45 so you can be seated in plenty of time.

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and dinner/ reception will all be inside. Our venue does have a covered patio where guests can spend time outdoors as well.

What is the weather typically like in October in Des Moines?

Answer

The average high temperature in Des Moines in October is 64°. However it could be much warmer or colder, rainy, snowy, or sunny ... you never know in our city. Luckily all main wedding events will be inside so you wont really have to worry about the weather too much.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We recommend semi-formal attire; we want you looking classy (no jeans) but also to feel comfortable for our dance floor!

Will there be food at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, you won't go hungry! We will have a buffet dinner, cake and cookies, and late night pizza. If you have specific dietary restrictions that we can help with, let Jake or Emily know or indicate it on your RSVP.

What about gifts?

Answer

We are registered through Zola and Target. You find those registries linked on this website. You can ship them directly to our house or we will have a table for gifts and cards at the wedding.

How do I RSVP? And when should I do it by?

Answer

You should've already done it by August 31! Please do not bring any guests who were not included in your invitation or who did not RSVP :)
