Our Love Story

The love story of Sarah and Nathan started in the 7th grade when they met at Brown Summit Middle School. Nathan had just started as the new kid in school. Sarah remembers seeing him at open house for the first time and noticing that there was a new student. On the first day of school, she asked him to sit at their table at lunch (middle school flirting lol). He said yes, sat down and got to know a lot of new people. Nathan says that this helped him adjust to the new school easier and he sat there the rest of the year. They both became very good friends. However, Nathan was completely and PAINFULLY oblivious that Sarah had a crush on him. So oblivious that this lasted an entire year. Finally, in 8th grade, on the day of the fall dance, Nathan nervously asked Sarah if she wanted to be his girlfriend. She said yes!!! From that day, they then ended up in high school together at Western Guilford and even college together at North Carolina State University. For 9 whole years, they have shared hobbies, sports, interests, memories and experiences. 13 year old crushes slowly grew into a strong, supportive, mature relationship that led to their engagement at 22 years old. Some would say that a middle school relationship would not last, although, both were absolutely positive that they never wanted to lose each other at the age of 13. They knew that they were meant for each other! Sarah said that she knew from the moment they started dating that he was exactly the boy she dreamed of; calm, sweet, hilarious, protective, smart, self motivated and entirely perfect. She saw qualities in him at such a young age that she knew would make the perfect future husband to grow old with. Nathan said that Sarah was different from any girl he had ever met. She was funny, she loved sports, she cared for him and loved him through the easiest and hardest times, and she was his very best friend. Nathan found Sarah to be much more than just a girlfriend, she was his soulmate. She brought out the very best in him and constantly encouraged him to be better, as he did for her. Meeting each other was a blessing from God that they will always be thankful for. They cannot wait to celebrate together and with loved ones throughout this engagement season, get married and build a life together. Let the next chapter begin :)
