I Prayed for You

Our Love

When it's Gods timing nothing will stand in the way. Dan and I met for the first time in October 2019 at a close family friends 40th wedding anniversary celebration in Cincinnati, Ohio. I knew Dan was going to be my husband when he provided me with a sign that might seem so simple to most, but to me it's how I knew God answered my prayers. I told God, the first man to buy me flowers unexpectedly without me hinting or asking will be my husband. And voilà! Dan shows up at my hotel with beautiful lilies. My heart instantly laughed and understood that God has a funny sense of humor. To backtrack a little bit, Dan and I were friends for a little over nine months by then and I only ever saw him as a caring friend. Fast forward to Cincinnati, we went on our first date and it was amazing. I love Mexican food and he brought me to one of the best Mexican restaurants in Cincinnati. We talked so freely and openly that I felt like we have known each other for years. Since he knew I loved flowers he wanted to make sure that where he proposed matched my love for flowers. Unfortunately, due to covid he had to improvise with the help of my lovely family and friends. Covid has made planning a wedding hard, but this challenge has only increased the love we have for each other. We would love to have everyone there, but the safety of all of our loved ones, near and far, take priority. We have prayed for this union, and we’re are ready and eager to take the next step in our lives as husband and wife. We can’t wait for the day when we can safely celebrate with an abundance of loved ones, but until that day comes, we know we are loved and supported and for that are so grateful.
