1 hour from Castine. Known for hiking with great views of the Atlantic, sunrise on top of Cadillac, biking on carriage trails, and the nearby town of Bar Harbor.

A 20 minute drive from Castine. This is the town Beth Ann grew up in. Things to do include hiking Blue Hill Mountain (the setting for the book "Blueberries for Sal"), stop at Bucklyn Coffee shop, and Curtis Cove for swimming (except at low tide).

Stonington is located on the island of Deer Isle, which is an island community connected to the mainland by bridge. Beth Ann lived on Deer Isle until she was in 2nd grade. Take a drive around the island, stopping at Sand Beach and the town of Stonington. Take a 45 minute ferry from Stonington to Isle Au Haut with your bikes.
