We met online through Match.com! On a summer afternoon, Carl made the first move by sending a message. At first glance of his profile picture, it looked like a much older man hitting on me. Confused, I clicked on his profile to dig a bit deeper. I soon realized that his profile picture was a group photo of him, his mom, and Gary (his step-dad). The perimeter to fit your picture had zoomed in on Gary! LOL We still joke about this today. After several dates, we soon realized that we shared so many common interests and loved spending time together. He lived in Dublin at the time and I lived in Canal. We would travel back and forth and both made an effort to see each other whenever we could. Not only did the connection feel very natural between me and Carl, but it also came naturally between Carl and Colt, my son. Going through some ups and downs together solidified our love and support for one another. One of our ups together was building a house! When showing the progress to family members, Carl decided to make it official and propose!
