Haley and Lauren first met at softball tryouts their freshman year of high school. Lauren went for a catch in the outfield when she tripped over a hole in the ground, of course Haley couldn't help but laugh uncontrollably. They have been friends ever since! With Lauren being two days older, they have shared many birthday celebrations together, lots of growing up in the last 15 years, and even more memories. We love Lauren for her caring heart, fun times and making any awkward situation funny!
Josh Piper

Josh is Robin to Derek's Batman... If Robin was five inches taller and more athletically accomplished than the Dark Knight. Derek immediately gained a partner in crime when Josh was born as his younger brother. They loved spending countless hours playing basketball in the driveway growing up. They currently spend way too much time trying to fix the Chicago Bears' issues. And they are a dangerous duo in the Nashville bar scene. Josh is a great third wheel for Derek and Haley's date nights and he is a better dad.
Ellisia Howard

Haley and Ellisia met during that very awkward first year in middle school. From wall phones to flip phones, slamming doors and being grounded, these two have made countless memories through the years. To many memories to pick just one! From living on the other side of town or many miles apart, they have always picked up where they left off with so many laughs that we cry and a good bottle of wine. Her huge heart, outgoing personality, and contagious smile are amazing attributes she brings to our friendship.
Jake Southey

Jake and Derek became best friends in sixth grade, but they were brothers from birth. They grew up together on the baseball diamond during the summers. They have the ability to communicate strictly in movie quotes. They spent many nights hitting up Hardees and eating it in the Steak 'n Shake parking lot after Centennial basketball games — a tradition that never quite caught on nationwide. These two are the definition of 'ride or die homies'. We love Jake for his big biceps and bigger heart.
Katie Gilchrist

Haley and Katie met at Beauty School in Nashville, TN. and they connected right from the start! They spent countless lunches or dinners together during school, nights out in downtown Nashville and always bouncing hair ideas off each other. While they're friendship has 380 miles between them, they still make each other a priority in their lives. We love Katie for her sweet personality, love to always have a good time and a great getaway spot in Nashville!
Chris Changnon-Piper
Groomsman
The Piper brothers became 'The Big Three' when Chris was born. He is incredibly smart and always has a witty comeback in the holster. Haley usually gets back to him with a response the next day. Chris and Derek have enjoyed great debates about Bruce Weber and Illinois basketball over the years. They'll never forget their trip to Soldier Field to see the Bears beat Brett Favre in overtime. And Chris' bachelor party in Boston has certainly set a high bar.
Mackenzie Hoss

Mackenzie is not just Haley's sister-in-law. Over the past few years, their relationship has grown into a friendship. Sharing their love to be creative, enjoying a new movie or show or a much needed girl trips, these two are not just in-laws but friends that will continue to make many more memories. Kenzie has certainly fed Haley many tips and tricks she learned during her wedding planning to help keep me organized. Kenzie's competitiveness and creativity always keeps things exciting!
Mick Hoss

Mick is Haley's brother and the father of the ring bearer. He and Derek have also developed a great friendship through the years. It started with bonding over Busch Lights and games of NHL 12 in Carbondale. With these two, you know a competitive game of poker or euchre awaits at family gatherings. They had a blast at Mick's bachelor party at the Lake of the Ozarks. Mick also had Derek in his wedding day golf scramble but he found Derek some different teammates. Smart man.
Camdyn
Flower Girl
Camdyn is Derek's sassy, smart, sweet and funny 3-year-old niece. Camdyn definitely has Derek and Haley wrapped around her finger and they love every minute of it! One of their favorite memories with Camdyn is taking her to the zoo. When she reached for Derek's hand, that was expected. But when she reached for Haley's hand too, they knew how special their role was as uncle and aunt.
Egan

Egan is Haley's smiley, sweet and goofy nephew. Egan will be 11 months old at the time of the wedding. He has so much personality and is a huge flirt. Egan definitely tugs at Haley and Derek's heart strings. He is going to look so dapper in his wedding attire! Aunt Haley and Uncle Derek are so excited that Egan gets to be a part of their special day. They can't wait for his personality to shine.
Blake Changnon-Piper

We wanted our officiant to know us like family. Even better, Blake is family and someone who we felt was meant for this role on our special day. He has been married to Derek's youngest brother, Chris, for two years and has been a part of the family for long before that. Blake brings so much personality, spunk and love to our family. We know he won't disappoint, but he might crack a few jokes that will have us holding our breath. That's fair payback to Derek for his groomsman speech at their wedding.
