We met just before sophomore year at Ole Miss through mutual friends and kept finding ourselves in the same circles. Daphne had a huge crush on Thomas, while he thought the single life was what he wanted. We stayed friends through the fall, but spring gave us a little nudge. Shared classes, a group Spring Break trip, longer conversations, and a few moments that felt like more. (Like the time Daphne had surgery and woke up to a text from Thomas checking on her. Or when he invited himself to her date party and they ended up talking until 4 a.m. about their families, upbringings, interests....really, everything under the sun). The next week, a Memphis shopping trip and shared playlists cemented it: we were more than friends. A few months later, Thomas asked Daphne to be his girlfriend on his balcony, music playing, Daphne mid-bite of pad thai. Seven years later, we’ve graduated college, got our dog Gigi, moved to two new cities, traveled to 7 different countries, changed career paths, and grown together through it all. We can’t wait to see what comes next as husband and wife <3
