"Heard you got the hook up for pisupo?" Yes, this was Peter’s first text to me… And since then we fell in love...

A whole day of hiking in the gorgeous Zion National Park. We ended the day with our last hike at "The Narrows" (A river hike through a beautiful canyon) We stopped at a small swimming hole. Yes, I went in. Coming out the water, I realized a familiar worship song I absolutely love playing in the background. I turned around to see Peter's sisters and niece move quickly to the side. Peter walked towards me and got down on one knee. I immediately covered my face (as you see in the photo) and all I remember was crying and feeling slightly embarrassed and confused. Is this moment happening? I wondered . He lovingly asked the question, " Can you scratch my back?" Just kidding. I answered YES! To his marriage proposal. We cried, hugged and even drew in a little crowd from random hikers. We celebrated our engagement with family in one of the most beautiful places ever. Thank you Peter, this day was perfect. Pisupo hook up for life!
