COVID FAQs

Here are the most current safety precautions required in light of COVID. Please keep in mind that these are subject to change and we will do our best to update this page if safety measures are added or altered.
Question

What is the requirement for guests to attend weddings in NYC?

Answer

New York requires everyone attending to provide the following: - Information to assist with contact tracing - A negative COVID test or proof of full vaccination at least 2 weeks prior to 5/8/2021

Question

If I have to get a test what type of COVID test will be accepted?

Answer

You must get a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the wedding OR a rapid test with 6 hours of the wedding.

Question

What if I am vaccinated, do I still have to get a test?

Answer

No, but you will have to show proof that you received the full vaccine (2 doses for Pfizer or Moderna, 1 for Johnson and Johnson) no later than 4/23/2021. If you have only received 1 dose of Pfizer or Moderna by 4/23/2021 you must get a negative COVID test. You must present a physical (paper) copy or original vaccination verification form. It is important to note that digital images are NOT accepted by the venue.

Question

Do I have to wear a mask at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, all guests regardless of vaccination status will be required to wear a mask at all times, unless they are seated and eating.

Question

Will there be dancing at the reception?

Answer

Yes! We will be following guidelines given by the state to make sure people can still maintain social distancing protocols.

Question

How many people will attend the wedding?

Answer

We are anticipating 150 guests for the wedding and reception.

Question

What safety measures has the venue implemented in light of COVID?

Answer

Kevin and his team at The View at Battery Park have made every effort to ensure everything on site is properly cleaned and sanitized. Before the event they thoroughly sanitize all the hard surface areas (chairs, door handles, bar counter, etc.) and continue to clean high touch points (e.g., bathrooms, door knobs) each hour during the event. In addition, as required by the state all the venue employees and staff will be tested on a biweekly basis.
