A mutual friend gave Richard my number one day while he was talking about how he had given up on love. Unless he could find a lil Mennonite girl that wasn’t crazy and hopefully wasn’t gonna ruin his life. Well I wouldn’t say not crazy, but I’m the one who came to mind. He messaged me, we txted/talked for a few days then planned to meet one night. He said he would be there in a little while so I got ready and waited by the window of my upstairs apartment, and I waited and waited… a few hours later, he did show up! No worries! We went for a drive and watched the sun set on the lake. And that was the beginning of a relationship thats only been growing stronger every day since! Oh and he’s still never on time… Just don’t let him be late on the Big Day!!

It was a beautiful fall afternoon and we decided to carve pumpkins with momma! Although he only bought one pumpkin which I thought was a little weird but it’s okay! She probably didn’t wanna get all messy haha I put my gloves on and wanted to try the new TikTok hack where u cut the bottom out of the pumpkin, way easier! They both adamantly opposed that idea so okay never mind and cut the top open. He told me this whole story about students from Cornell being on the pumpkin farm putting a geocache in a pumpkin. When I opened it up there was something in it and he’s like no way did u find the geocache!?! (What even is that??) I look at him … this is weird… I don’t believe you! They’re like open it up open it up!!! I’m getting very suspicious but still confused open the little antique locket and there was the Ring he took it from me and got on one knee, “Will you marry me?” YES YES YES!!! Of course I’ll marry you! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Geneva!
