Our wedding will take place in beautiful Kapalua at Merriman's! All wedding events and recommended travel information can be found throughout this website.
Hawaii holds a special place in our hearts, and we wanted to create a wedding experience that feels meaningful, relaxing, and unforgettable for everyone joining us. Since all of our guests will be traveling, we hope this feels like a fun vacation for everyone too!
We recommend arriving at least 1–2 days before the wedding festivities begin. This gives you time to settle in, adjust to the time difference, and enjoy Maui before the celebrations start. For the ceremony itself, we will begin promptly at 4:45pm, weather permitting, please arrive no later than 4:30pm.
Most guests should plan to fly into Kahului Airport (OGG), which is the main airport on Maui.
We have a Travel & Lodging page on the website with recommended areas, hotels, and accommodations. We encourage guests to book early, as Hawaii accommodations can fill up quickly.
We highly recommend renting a car while visiting Maui. Many activities, beaches, restaurants, and sightseeing spots are spread across the island, and having a car will make getting around much easier.
The wedding dress code will be listed on the event details page. In general, think elevated island attire — stylish but comfortable for a tropical setting.
Yes, Merriman's has plenty of parking.
Maui weather is typically warm and tropical. Expect sunshine, ocean breezes, and temperatures generally in the 80s °F. We recommend lightweight fabrics and comfortable shoes. It can get a little chilly at night or on a boat, so a light cardigan or sweatshirt is also recommended.
Yes, many wedding events may take place outdoors. We suggest bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, and light layers for the evening.

Transportation will not be provided for wedding events, so we recommend that guests plan ahead for getting to and from each event. Rental cars are highly encouraged while visiting Maui, and rideshare availability may vary depending on location and time of day. Some of our recommended hotels will be walkable to the wedding reception, and some may also be walkable to the welcome dinner. If you stay in the Kaanapali/Kapalua area, nothing should be more than about a 20-minute drive away.
